When your team flies Qantas for work, the traveller earns Qantas Points. Without Qantas Business Rewards, that's where it ends. With it, your business earns its own points on the same flight, on top.
Here's how the program works, who can join and how to get the most from it.
Qantas Business Rewards is Qantas's loyalty program for small and medium businesses. The business has its own points balance, separate from any employee's. It earns when staff fly, when the business spends with partners, and on business credit cards linked to it. The business can then use the points or transfer them to anyone with a Qantas Frequent Flyer account, including the owner.
You need an ABN registered for GST. Sole traders, partnerships and companies can all join, though larger ACN entities on corporate travel deals generally aren't eligible.
The joining fee is $89.50, but it's often waived through partner offers and promo codes. Look for one before you pay.
Flights. Add the traveller's Qantas Frequent Flyer number and the business's ABN to the booking. The traveller earns their usual points and status credits. The business earns 20 to 40 points for every 100 the traveller earns, depending on its level.
Jetstar. Selected bundles (Flex, Flex Plus and Business Max) also earn business points.
Hotels and car hire. Qantas Hotels bookings through the business portal earn extra points, and Avis and Budget earn 4 points per dollar.
Partners. More than 50 partners pay business points, including BP and pay.com.au.
Business credit cards. Several banks and Amex offer Qantas Business Rewards cards that earn straight into the business account. Business points vs personal points covers the trade-offs.
| Level | How to qualify | Business points per 100 traveller points | Flight discounts | Qantas Club |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Join | 20 | Up to 6% on some fares | 20% off membership |
| Level 2 | 15,000 Qantas Points from flying in a year | 30 | Up to 9% | 30% off |
| Level 3 | 80,000 Qantas Points from flying in a year | 40 | Up to 10% | 30% off, plus a Gold fast-track nomination |
Correct as of October 2026. Discounts exclude some fare types.
The business can book flights for staff directly, or transfer points to any Qantas Frequent Flyer member. Transferring is the most flexible option: the points arrive in a personal account, where they can go towards a Classic reward seat at the best value.
As with personal points, Classic reward flights are where value lives. What are your points worth? shows how to check.
A small business doesn't have a corporate travel contract, so it can book any airline on any trip. A business program gives the business, not just the traveller, a reason to keep choosing the same airline.
It also brings in a new kind of partner spend. Business cards and payment platforms buy points at a scale few consumer partners can match, because business spending is large and, under the RBA rules, business card interchange is still capped at 0.8% rather than 0.3%.
