Woolworths Everyday Rewards: how to get started

The easiest Qantas Points you'll ever earn come from the groceries you buy anyway. Here's how to set up Everyday Rewards and get the most from it.

If you shop at Woolworths and haven't linked Everyday Rewards to Qantas, you're giving away free points every week. It takes five minutes to set up, and from 8 December it can also earn you Qantas status credits.

Here's how Everyday Rewards works and how to get the most from it.

What is Everyday Rewards?

Everyday Rewards is the loyalty program for Woolworths, BWS, Big W and a growing list of partners. It's free to join online or through the app, and you scan your card or app each time you shop.

Where you earn

You earn at least 1 point per dollar at:

  • Woolworths supermarkets and online
  • BWS and Big W
  • Ampol and EG service stations
  • Petstock and MyDeal

Partners such as Origin and Bupa offer bonus points when you sign up for their products. Some bank programs, including CommBank Yello and Amex Membership Rewards, can transfer into Everyday Rewards too.

Qantas Points or $10 off?

Every 2,000 Everyday Rewards points becomes one of three rewards:

OptionWhat you getValue per Everyday Rewards point
Qantas Points1,000 Qantas PointsDepends on how you use them; around 1 cent or more on good flight rewards
Shopping$10 off your next shop0.5 cents
Bank for Christmas$10 held until December0.5 cents

If you'll use Qantas Points on Classic reward flights, converting to Qantas usually wins. If you'd only ever use Qantas Points on gift cards, take the $10 off. What are your points worth? shows how to check.

  1. Log in to Everyday Rewards online or in the app.
  2. Add your Qantas Frequent Flyer number.
  3. Set your reward preference to Qantas Points.

From then on, every time you reach 2,000 points, 1,000 Qantas Points land in your account automatically.

From 8 December 2026, linking Everyday Rewards also counts towards the new everyday status credits at Qantas, worth 10 status credits a year. Qantas Frequent Flyer changes from 8 December has the details.

Boosters: the fastest way to earn

The app shows personalised Boosters, offers you have to activate before you shop. They can be worth thousands of bonus points for spending a set amount or buying certain products. Activate every one; there's no cost.

Is Everyday Extra worth it?

Everyday Extra is a paid subscription at $7 a month. Woolworths dropped the cheaper $70 annual plan in mid-2026. It gives you 10% off one shop each month and double points at Woolworths and Big W.

The maths is simple: if your biggest monthly shop is over $70, the 10% discount alone covers the monthly fee. The double points are a bonus.

Points expiry

Points don't expire as long as you use your card at least once every 18 months.

Why supermarkets buy airline points

Woolworths pays Qantas for every point you receive. In return, it gets you choosing Woolworths over Coles, and a detailed picture of what you buy. That data powers the personalised Boosters, which are designed to change what you buy next.

The deal works for you if you'd shop there anyway. It's worth watching if a Booster tempts you into spending you didn't plan.

What I'd do this week

  1. Join, or find your existing card number.
  2. Link Qantas and set your preference to Qantas Points.
  3. Activate every Booster in the app before you shop.
  4. Scan every time, including at BWS, Big W and Ampol.
